With the Dodgers trailing 3-2 and facing their final out, Freeman stepped up and launched the first pitch he saw into the right field grandstand, igniting a frenzy among the more than 50,000 fans in attendance. This moment marked the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history.

The scene echoed one of baseball’s most iconic moments: Kirk Gibson’s legendary walk-off home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series, which also took place at Dodger Stadium.
